Mount Marty College Financial Assistance Director Ken Kocer Voted President-Elect of RMASFAA

Mount Marty College Financial Assistance Director Ken Kocer was recently voted president-elect of the Rocky Mountain Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. RMASFAA is the regional association of financial aid administrators covering Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming. He will assume his duties as president of the regional association during the 2017-2018 term.
Kocer, who has been the director of financial assistance at MMC for the past 25 years, has also served as president of the South Dakota Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. The RMASFAA-elected position involves a three-year commitment. During the third year of his term, Kocer will sit on the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators Board of Directors as a regional representative.
The primary mission of RMASFAA is to promote professional preparation, leadership development, effectiveness and mutual support of the people involved in student financial aid administration. The association also works to bring about the implementation of programs that will have a positive impact on students’ ability to pay for higher education.
At Mount Marty College, 100 percent of MMC-Yankton campus students receive financial assistance, most often in the form of scholarships, grants, loans and employment programs.
