GIVING THE GIFT OF OPPORTUNITY
With more than 96% of Mount Marty College students receiving financial aid, your gift to scholarships provides these students many opportunities. The opportunity to grow in their faith. The opportunity to learn a new skill or way of seeing the world around them. The opportunity to make a difference in their community. With your gift, they will have these opportunities without the burden of extreme debt.
Scholarship Match Program Doubles Your Gift
Mount Marty College supporters have once again offered to MATCH annual scholarship donations received during 2016, dollar for dollar, up to $45,000. What a blessing!
With this very generous challenge grant, gifts to the MMC Annual Scholarship Fund and the MMC Watertown Annual Scholarship Fund will make an even greater impact on our students. If you already support one of these funds, your increased gift this year will also be matched.
Thank you to these generous Matching Scholarship Grant donors:
- Dr. Al Kurtenbach, Brookings, SD
- Dan'90 and Deb Specht, Yankton, SD
- Jean (Dee) Smith, Yankton, SD
- David and Jan Johnson, Watertown, SD
- Dr. Richard and Mrs. Diana Foster, New Castle, IN
Other Scholarship Opportunities
Annual Scholarships are funds that receive donations each year from one or more donors.
Gifts to the general MMC Annual Scholarship Fund will benefit all Mount Marty students that need financial assistance. However, you can also establish a named annual scholarship that will be awarded to a student that meets the criteria for that scholarship. These scholarship funds can be named by the initial donor.
Annual Scholarship gifts received between January 1 and December 31 each year will be awarded the following fall semester.
An endowment gift enables donors to create a lasting and meaningful difference in the lives of our students through a continuous source of scholarship funds. Your gift can establish a new endowment fund or be added to an existing fund.
Minimum support levels for endowments have been established in order to guarantee that the income from the funds will adequately support a scholarship. All endowed scholarships are invested through the College's endowment fund.
